I write a lot, and have taken to illustrating what I write with ink and watercolors.

Most of these are very quickly done, and are more of an exercise in getting an idea out quickly than developing a full painting. They’re full of mistakes, which I usually fix by cutting out a piece of paper and gluing it over the offense.
