Herta Ehlert was a female guard at several Nazi concentration camps during the Holocaust, including Ravensbrück, Majdanek, Auschwitz, and Bergen-Belsen. She was known for her cruel behavior towards prisoners and overseeing slave labor groups. After the war, Ehlert was tried and found guilty of war crimes at the Belsen trial, and was sentenced to 15 years in prison, which was later commuted to 12 years. She died in 1997 at the age of 92.
